Zoeller Model J284 Sewage Pump is designed to remove raw sewage, effluent or ground water in sewage or stormwater removal applications. The 1 HP J284 is a time-tested and reliable sewage pump. The J284 is a nonautomatic pump requiring a float switch and control panel for operation. This allows you to set the on and off point of the pump in the field. This is ideal in an application with a deep sump pit or pump tank. The pump's vortex impeller allows it to pass 2" spherical solids. The impeller's clearance in relation to the pump housing allows water and solids to pass freely through the pump. This combination of design features lessens the chance of clogging and downtime. The Model 284's motor housing, pump housing, and base are each constructed of cast iron. The pump's identification tag, handle, and hardware are made of non-corrodible stainless steel. This attention to detail ensures that the Model 284 is able to withstand the most demanding sewage ejector applications. Every pump is submerged in water and tested to its published performance curve, ensuring it meets Zoeller's expectations and delivers peace of mind right-out-of-the-box.
