The West House: Where Batman Meets Modernism
In the prestigious Old Las Palmas neighborhood stands a remarkable 1954 residence once owned by actor Adam West, famous for his portrayal of Batman. This architectural gem, originally enhanced by renowned architect Albert Frey, has undergone a spectacular transformation that pays homage to both its Modernist roots and its connection to the Caped Crusader.
"I'm excited to share this transformed property, featuring thoughtful, customized details and modern aesthetics that honor its iconic legacy. Each room showcases custom-designed pieces, creating a unique and inviting innovative environment. The Ferguson appliances and plumbing fixtures enhance the design's elegance beautifully. Expansive floor-to-ceiling windows offer breathtaking mountain views framed by palm trees and water features, contributing to the enchanting ambiance and exemplifying the iconic Palm Springs lifestyle."
– Michelle Boudreau, Designer, West House
Kitchen and Entertainment Spaces
The heart of the home features Monogram's state-of-the-art appliances, including the 48" dual fuel professional range, offering exceptional cooking flexibility with its multi-ring brass burners. The kitchen's seamless design is achieved with panel-ready appliances, including the 42" panel-ready side-by-side refrigerator and 24" fully integrated dishwasher that blend perfectly with the cabinetry.
The kitchen and entertainment areas showcase Brizo products, featuring the Litze® pull down kitchen faucet and cold-water dispenser in matte black with luxe gold accents, the Kintsu® bar faucet in matte black with knob handle, and the Odin® bar faucet in matte white with polished nickel lever. The Pristive™ tankless under sink reverse osmosis system, also from Brizo, ensures pure, refreshing water throughout the home.
The space is completed by Café countertop appliances and laundry appliances by GE Profile.
Outdoor Living
The exterior spaces are illuminated by Kichler's innovative landscape lighting, creating dramatic nighttime scenes that highlight the architectural features and desert landscaping.
Sackley Chase Sensation: A 1970s Revival
Deep in the Indian Canyons neighborhood, this 1976 Stan Sackley-designed residence showcases the perfect balance between preservation and innovation.
"We wanted to preserve the 70's aesthetic of the home and honor the Steve Chase designs but update the functional areas, such as kitchen and baths, for today's lifestyle. We refurbished and repurposed a lot of the original furniture pieces from the house, added some new vintage classic 70's pieces and also some contemporary pieces to complement to the 1970's design." - Roger Stoker and Michael Ostrow of Grace Home Furnishings, Designers, Sackley Chase House
Modern Kitchen Innovation
The kitchen features Monogram's latest integrated appliances, including the 24" panel-ready column refrigerator and freezer, the 30" minimalist single wall oven and the innovative 5-in-1 oven with Advantium® technology. The 36" induction cooktop provides precise temperature control while maintaining the sleek aesthetic.
The space is anchored by Brizo's Litze® SmartTouch® pull down kitchen faucet with knurled handle and Litze® bar faucet with knurled handle in luxe gold. Café countertop appliances and laundry appliances by GE Profile complete the space.
Bathroom Luxury
There are three bathrooms spotlighted in this Modernism Week 2025 home. The primary bath features the Brizo Allaria® collection in luxe gold including the lavatory faucet with clear acrylic handles, deck mounted tub filler with hand shower, rain shower and multi-function hand shower, and matching accessories.
The secondary bath features the James Martin Vanities Amberly collection, Brizo's Allaria® widespread lavatory faucet, shower fixtures and matching accessories in chrome.
