The Tegal Chair brings old-world rattan craftsmanship into the living room with an airy silhouette that feels collected and traditional. Built from solid rattan with leather ties in place of slender reeds, it layers rich texture and a handcrafted look into your seating mix. The Tegal Chair is made of solid rattan using a very traditional rattan construction technique, though instead of thinner reeds, the ties are made of leather. The chair, which will fast become a favorite in a variety of spaces including sunrooms and beachside living rooms, has a name inspired by a city in Central Java, an Indonesian country known for fine rattan craftsmanship. The natural material has a vintage finish that adds warmth to the chair, which was designed by Aimee Kurzner.
