Function:

• Classroom Lock: Latch bolt operated by handle from either side except when outside handle is locked from outside by key. When outside handle is locked, latch bolt is retracted by key from outside, or by operating inside handle. Auxiliary dead latch deadlocks latchbolt when door is closed. Inside handle always free for immediate exit. (ANSI F05)
